Experienced Project Manager and Robotic Systems Designer

With a decade of experience in project management and robotic systems design, I am dedicated to advancing the field of robotics in Chile. My passion lies in developing and implementing complex robotic systems that solve real-world challenges. I specialize in Machine Vision for anomaly detection, Image Processing Techniques, Machine Learning, and Model-Based System Engineering for space robotics.

I excel in integrating advanced vision methods into mobile aerial robots, creating innovative solutions that push the boundaries of technology. My work focuses on enhancing robotic capabilities in diverse environments, including Chile's mining, forestry, energy, and construction sectors.

Notable Achievements:

  • NASA-Funded MoonRanger Project: Led a multidisciplinary team in successfully navigating the lunar south pole to search for water. Our team received accolades for seamless system validation and passing the System Definition Review (SDR).

  • Head of the Modeling and Simulation Center for the Chilean Army: Managed over ten research and engineering projects, demonstrating exceptional leadership and organizational skills. Designed and developed a virtual shooting range simulator and implemented technological and administrative systems and simulation clusters.

  • Educational Contributions: As an Adjunct Professor at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and Universidad de Santiago de Chile, I teach courses in Robotic Systems Design, Product Design, and Reinforcement Learning, highlighting my commitment to education and mentorship.

I studied robotic mobility, manipulation, and planning. Kinematics, Dynamics, and Control for aerial and bionic robotics purposes. 

My thesis report was a UAV planning optimization method.

I studied System Design for Robotics, CAD, and CAE for computational graphics purposes.  My thesis was a redesign of a bionic prosthesis.

BS. in Mechanical Engineering

I studied Solid Mechanics, FEA, Thermodynamics, and Thermofluids. My thesis was an analysis of a novel recoil design for the Galil rifle. 

2006 - 2010
